Rodeo -

I went to the Rodeo last night. I went with my girlfriend and her parents. This was my first time ever going (in my memory). I can't lie, it was pretty cool. We were there from about 6pm to 11pm. I didn't understand much, but my girlfriend was willing to explain things for me. My favorite part was the motorcycles doing tricks at the end. It was easy for my city boy brain to understand. Motorcycle do jump, yippeee!!!

It's been pretty windy these last few days and I thought it would feel nice in just a tshirt. Thank goodness I wore some pants and my boots. I was freezing the entire time. We had some blankets, so I wrapped up in those pretty good.

The dust though. Oh man was the dust bad. You know that awful feeling when you close your mouth and there is a dust crunch? That was the entire night. In my mouth, in my eyeballs. It was a small price to pay for sitting right at the front and facing the wind.

I saw a dude get seriously injured right off the bat, it was kinda crazy. I don't really know what they were doing but the horse was trying to buck him off. The horse hit the wall and fell on its side (with the guy still on). Then it got back up and was jumping and I think its hoof went into his shoulder. I'm not really sure, but he wasn't getting up and the paramedics had to come rushing out. He eventually got up and was able to walk on his own. It was wild.

They also had a kiss cam. I'm just a little upset Nadali and I weren't put on it but WHATEVER. That's fine. I didn't want the entire stadium to see how beautiful she is or anything.

So that basically sums up my experience. Cold, windy, dusty, nearly deadly, but lively and fun.

I wasn't originally going to mention her name (for privacy reasons), but she went ahead and doxxed herself in the comments anyways. It's Nadali, pronounced Naa-duh-lee. Won't be the last time you see her name.
