Sciatica -

I think my sciatica is coming back. I've been doing fine these past few months, it's shown up for a little bit every now and then. Nothing that really stops me from doing things. Today after I was sitting at my work desk for a while today and now it feels like I'm being stabbed in my upper hip whenever I walk. I'm not sure if it's my work boots causing this. They fit good but have a decently stiff sole. I might try one of those insoles offered by Superfeet.

I was fine two days ago when I was using my good old work Nikes, but now I switch to my boots for two days and almost instantly face problems? I've never had issues with this nerve before until sometime last year. I think I did a squat wrong and it started this, but it also only started showing up badly once I got these boots (If I am remebering correctly).

My mom has also had issues with her right side sciatic nerve (same side as me). My chiropractor says sometimes the nerve can grow through the muscle and then you're kinda just screwed. So maybe I got unlucky? That would be pretty crazy!! This picture is basically what I'm talking about. The left side is a normal person, the right side is what I could be.

Sadly, American health care really sucks. I would love to be properly diagnosed, but I also don't want to shell out thousands of dollars for the right scans and tests. Does anybody reading this live in a country with free health care? Maybe I'll come visit and take a vacation!!

If you've ever had sciatic nerve issues, you would understand how I feel. I fear lying down because it can flare it up. I can't do leg day exercises. I can't walk at my job. I'm basically immobilized. I know some people have it worse and their lives are terrible, but as someone who has been healthy their whole life, this sucks.
