Truck -

I wish someone would buy my truck already. I've been trying to sell it for like two months now. I have it listed on two different places. 56 people want to save it, but NOBODY wants to even contact for ANYTHING. Please guys, just show a little interest, I'm dying here. It's a 2004 Toyota Tacoma. I have a few reasons for selling it, the main one being I just would rather have something newer with more power. Look, when your only other car is a 1999 Miata with issues and terrible horsepower, the worst addition to that fleet is an old truck which also has no horsepower. I also just don't want to have to replace all these old parts right now. Yeah I can tinker on my cars and replace things myself, but it gets to be such a PITA when every bolt is seized.

I don't tow ever, and I rarely use my truck for truck things. I did a lot last year. Kinda. I went hiking just about every week and it got me up to trailheads decently (although you can argue any regular sedan could get me to those trailheads). I just wish somebody told me how badly these things struggle to get uphill before I bought one. I guess that's on me for not doing my research, right? I moved some furniture, so that's another truck thing. I feel safer driving a truck in my area when everyone else drives these MASSIVE lifted Ford F350 Super Dutys. Really I just like being one of many driving their truck to Walmart to pick up my one box of Cheerios. Sorry? If you've got a problem with that, fix my Miata for me.

I've been looking at newer Nissan Frontiers, specifically the 3rd gen bodystyle. They're a great value (in this current economic climate) and have just about every feature I need and want. The issue though is that I'd be paying it off for a while. Great for credit, but not so great for interest and wanting to save money. I'm still grateful to even have a second car right now, especially with everything that's been going on with the Miata.

I've also played around with the idea of a Honda Grom. Yes, ironic seeing as I just said I want something with more power. I mostly mean more power in a truck if I go that route. I really only go to work, the gym, and my girlfriend's house. Everything is in the same town, so why not just get something super economical? People say they get 100-130 MPGs on these little bikes. Way better than the 14 MPGs in my truck and whatever the Miata gets when it actually works. There's only a couple problems with this, the biggest one being: Yes, there really are a lot of lifted Ford F350 Super Dutys in my town. GMC, Chevy, RAM, whatever, people can't get enough of daily driving huge trucks here. The second being: I don't know how to ride a motorcyle. I really would love to learn though! My Miata has a manual transmission, so I am very familiar with clutches and selecting gears.

We'll see what I eventually decide on. For now we just have to wait for someone to buy my truck!!
